Adam Matthews – Wolves 3-2 Bristol City

Adam Matthews played 66 minutes but ended up on the losing side in a five-goal Christmas cracker.

Wolves led after just three minutes as Dave Edwards headed home but City struck back through Tammy Abraham before Aden Flint completed the turnaround.

However, the second period belonged to Wolves as Helder Costa’s volley levelled before Ivan Cavaleiro’s penalty wrapped up three points.

Will Buckley – Newcastle United 0-1 Sheffield Wednesday

With Will Buckley injured, Steven Fletcher picked up where he left off against Newcastle United as his Sheffield Wednesday side overcame the Toon Army.

The former Black Cat went close on a number of occasions before Glen Loovens’ second-half header sealed three points for Wednesday, as Keiren Westwood kept a clean sheet.
