Team news: Borini and Januzaj start

David Moyes has made a host of changes for tonight’s Premier League clash against Chelsea.

John O’Shea, Jan Kirchhoff, Adnan Januzaj and Fabio Borini all start at the Stadium of light, with Didier Ndong – suspended – Steven Pienaar and Victor Anichebe not included in the matchday squad.

Seb Larsson drops to the bench.

Lamine Kone and Papy Djilobodji both start despite O’Shea’s return to the heart of defence, with Sunderland possibly switching to five at the back, but Djilobodji has played in midfielder before and could play further up the pitch.

George Honeyman, Josh Maja and Joel Asoro are named amongst the substitutes.

Sunderland: Pickford, Jones, Kone, Djilobodji, O’Shea, van Aanholt, Denayer, Kirchhoff, Borini, Januzaj, Defoe.
Substitutes: Mannone, Larsson, Khazri, Love, Asoro, Maja, Honeyman.
