Danny Graham scored twice as Middlesbrough notched a home win over play-off chasers Ipswich in the Championship.

Graham converted from close range just before the half-hour before heading a second goal on the stroke of half-time to seal victory for the home side.

But it was an afternoon to forget for Connor Wickham and Leeds, who suffered a thumping 5-1 home defeat at the hands of Bolton.

Wickham played the full 90 minutes for the Elland Road outfit, who sit seven points outside the play-offs with 13 games to play.

In League One, Jordan Pickford featured for Carlisle as the Cumbrians slipped to a 2-1 defeat despite taking the lead at Port Vale.

Courtney Meppen-Walter opened the scoring for the visitors at Vale Park, but the hosts hit back with second-half goals from Ben Williamson and Tom Pope.

Billy Knott featured as an 86th-minute substitute for Vale as Carlisle dropped to 19th position, two points above the relegation zone.

John Egan got 90 minutes under his belt for League Two side Southend United, who lost 2-1 at Morecambe to extend their winless run to nine games.

And Liam Agnew and David Ferguson both completed the 90 minutes for Boston, who suffered a shock 1-0 defeat at struggling Workington in the Conference North.

In Scotland, David Moberg Karlsson played all but three minutes of Kilmarnock’s comfortable 4-2 win over Hearts at Rugby Park.

Meanwhile Alfred N’Diaye (pictured), Cabral and Modibo Diakite were all in action on the Continent over the weekend.

N’Diaye played the full 90 minutes of Real Betis’ 2-0 home win over Getafe, providing an assist for the hosts’ second goal. Betis remain eight points from safety in La Liga.

Cabral was substituted at half-time as Genoa suffered a 2-1 defeat at Chievo thanks to a 93rd-minute winner by Alberto Paloschi.

Genoa remain 11th in the Serie A table, 10 points behind fourth-placed Fiorentina, for whom Diakite played the full 90 minutes of a 1-0 defeat at Juventus.
