Goal-packed highlights from classic SoL win.

Today's SAFSee classic game is a cracker - the Black Cats' 4-1 win over Chelsea from December 1999.

Current Sunderland head coach Gus Poyet was in the Blues' line-up, scoring the visitors' consolation goal.

Chelsea couldn't live with Peter Reid's side, who were ahead inside the first minute when Niall Quinn tapped home from close range.

A scorching strike from Kevin Phillips doubled Sunderland's lead, and the hosts made it 3-0 when Phillips converted after Ed De Goey parried a Quinn effort.

The London side were stunned and Reid's men opened up a 4-0 half-time lead thanks to Quinn's second goal of the game.

There was no way back for Chelsea, who did manage to get on the scoresheet nine minutes from time to make it 4-1.
