Mandron looking to book Wembley spot; Pickford and Knott in League action.

Mikael Mandron’s Fleetwood Town face an almighty task if they are to book their place at Wembley in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy final when the Cod Army travel to Chesterfield on Tuesday evening.

Graham Alexander’s side lost the first leg 3-1 at the Highbury Stadium and they’ll need to overturn a two-goal deficit on the night against an in-form Spireites side if they are to book their place in the final against Peterborough United.

Elsewhere, Jordan Pickford’s Carlisle United travel to Coventry City knowing a win could move them six points clear of the League One relegation zone.

The England U19 international had made two appearances for the Cumbrians since joining Graham Kavanagh’s side two weeks ago and he kept his first clean sheet in their 1-0 home win over Bradford City last Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Billy Knott will hope to return to the Port Vale starting XI as the Valiants travel to Bradford City.

A win for Micky Adams’ side could see the Staffordshire-based outfit move within three points of the playoff places whilst the Bantams are hoping to move into the top half of the table and create an eight-point gap above the drop zone.
