Players set to return from Portugal trip.

Sunderland will return to the UK on Sunday as their trip to Portugal draws to a close.

The Black Cats have spent 10 days at their training base on the Algarve ahead of the start of the new Barclays Premier League season.

As well as being put through their paces in warm-weather training sessions, the squad played three friendly games to build fitness ahead of the 2014-15 campaign.

Now Gus Poyet and the players will head back to Wearside with a further two friendlies pencilled in.

The Black Cats will take on Spanish side Real Betis next Thursday (August 7, KO 7.30pm) before facing Italian outfit Udinese two days later (Saturday 9th August, KO 3pm).

Both games will take place at Heritage Park, Bishop Auckland.

Tickets for both games are on general sale now priced at £15 adults and £5 over-65s and under-16s.

Purchases can be made in person at the Stadium of Light ticket office or by calling 0871 911 1973.
