Poyet sticks with same XI.

Gus Poyet has named an unchanged side ahead of this afternoon's game with Cardiff City.

For the third successive game t
he head coach is sticking with the same team, who took a point from the Etihad Stadium against Manchester City and ran out 2-1 winners over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Phil Bardsley is named as a substitute after serving his two game ban, Santiago Vergini will resume his role at right back and three goal Connor Wickham starts up front with Fabio Borini.

Liam Brudcutt and Craig Gardner return to the squad after missing the last two games, they're both on the bench this afternoon
