Ramshaw called up for Three Lions duty.

Sunderland WFC’s Keira Ramshaw has travelled to La Manga, Spain, with the England Women’s U19 squad.

The 19-year-old has been named in a travelling party of 20 for the trip.

England will play in a four-team friendly tournament featuring Scotland, Italy and the Netherlands before returning to the UK on March 11.

Fellow Black Cat Beth Mead is on standby.

Ramshaw has been in excellent form this season, scoring 14 goals in 20 games, and manager Mick Mulhern feels the call-up is richly deserved.

“I feel it's a great reward for Keira who has had a great season for us so far,” he said.

“She wasn't initially included in the U19's squad, simply due to the fact England wanted to move her up into the U23's and she was put on standby.

“Unfortunately for Keira, no-one pulled out of that squad, but I'm pleased she has got a trip away.  The international experience can only help her develop."
