Sunderland WFC to host Man City.
Sunderland’s ladies are in Women’s FA Cup action this weekend as they host Manchester City WFC at Eppleton CW.
The Lady Black Cats remain unbeaten in the 2012-13 season and will be looking to progress to the last eight of the prestigious competition, the same stage they were defeated at last season.
Mick Mulhern’s side will go in to the game full of confidence having won their last three games. Equally, they boast a strong record against City, winning the only two meetings between the two sides 4-0 and 3-2 respectively.
Two goals from Beth Mead sent Sunderland on their way to victory over City in September and she’ll be looking to add to her unrivalled tally of 22 goals this season.
The return league game on Wearside was abandoned with City 1-0 up following a serious injury to the visiting goalkeeper.
Sunday’s game takes place at the Hetton Centre (Eppleton CW) with a 2pm kick-off.
