Johnson appointed Kilmarnock boss.
Former Sunderland winger Allan Johnston has been appointed manager of Scottish Premier League side Kilmarnock.
Johnston, who scored 20 goals in 111 games on Wearside, has signed a two-year deal at Fir Park – a ground he knows well, having played for the SPL side for five years.
The 39-year-old was voted SFA Manager of the Year last season after leading Queen of the South to the Scottish Second Division title as well as the Scottish Challenge Cup.
Since becoming the full manager with the Doonhamers in 2011, Johnston won 80% of the games he took charge and he’ll be looking to take Kilmarnock to the top-half of the SPL after a ninth-placed finish last campaign.
