How do I sign up?

Signing up for SAFSee is quick, easy and FREE. Simply head to the SAFSee section, click on 'Log in or register' on the video player and follow the instructions. You’ll need to log in to the email account you used to sign up in order to click the validation link and complete your registration.

My validation email hasn’t arrived.

Please check the Junk Mail folder within your email, or email safsee@safc.com with your name, email address and the message ‘validation email not arrived’, and we will activate your account manually.

I’m receiving a ‘validation failed’ message when attempting to validate my new account.

When activating the validation link, please do so on the same device on which you registered. If you’re still struggling, email safsee@safc.com with your name, email address and the message ‘validation failed’ and we will respond promptly.

Can I watch the videos on my smartphone/hand-held device?

Yes! SAFSee is fully compatible with a wide range of smart devices, including iOS and Android mobiles and tablets, Windows Mobile devices and more. The service is mobile responsive, meaning the console and video pages will automatically resize depending on your screen size and device. When you’ve accessed the video you want to watch, hit the ‘full screen’ button in the bottom-right corner of the player for the best experience. Also, you can use SAFSee on a range of devices using the one account – you don’t need to sign up again on each device. Just input your username and password on each device to gain access.

Can I log in using my ticketing account?

No - the two systems are separate so you will need to create register for a specific SAFSee account.

How can I listen to online commentaries and where are they available?

SAFSee carries online commentaries of every senior Sunderland game, rebroadcast from BBC Newcastle. The commentary stream typically begins one hour prior to kick-off and is accessible via an article on the home page. Again, you also can tune in on smartphones/tablets etc.

I’m receiving a message saying my email address already exists when signing up for an account.

If you’ve already set up an account using your email address, use the ‘Forgot Your Password?’ link on the login page to reset your password and gain access. Alternatively, email safsee@safc.com and we will investigate further.

I have forgotten/want to reset my password.

To reset your password, simply visit the login screen and click the ‘Forgot Your Password?’ link. A reset link will then be sent to your email address. If it doesn’t arrive, please follow the instructions in ‘my validation email hasn’t arrived’ above.

I live outside the UK and am receiving a ‘content not available in your region’ error message when watching highlights.

The Premier League, FA (FA Cup) and Football League (Capital One Cup) have video holdbacks in place for transmission of match highlights. When the holdbacks have expired in your region, the video will become available to view.

Does SAFSee have an iOS or Android app?

No – the service was designed to be used on a wide range of mobile devices, meaning there’s no need to download (or pay for) specific apps.

The video player remains blank when viewing videos, but I can hear the audio.
