Former Black Cat joins Motherwell.
Former Sunderland forward James McFadden has completed a move back to his first club, Motherwell.
McFadden, 29, has signed a contract until the end of the season with the Scottish outfit after leaving the Stadium of Light at the end of January.
The Scottish international arrived at the Stadium of Light as a free agent back in October and made three appearances for the Black Cats, all off the substitutes’ bench.
McFadden, who scored 31 goals in 58 starts during his first spell at Fir Park, told the club’s official website:
“I am really pleased to be back here at Motherwell.
“I need to get back playing competitive first-team football and this is the best place for me.
“The team are flying high near the top of the table, but I hope I can add something to that over the next few months.”
Stuart McCall’s side currently sit second in the SPL, 18 points behind runaway leaders Celtic.
