Ladies in cup action

Womens' side back on silverware trail.

Sunderland WFC travel to Sporting Club Albion in the fourth round of the Women’s FA Cup on Sunday.

The Lady Black Cats are yet to be defeated in the 2012-13 season and will fancy their chances of progressing against an Albion side that lies sixth in the Northern Combination – one division below the Black Cats.

Mick Mulhern’s side will be wary of a recent resurgence from Albion, though; the Midlands outfit have won their last five – scoring 26 goals in the process.

Sunderland’s ladies have made the quarter-finals of the competition in the previous four seasons and they’ll be looking to protect that record in the Midlands.

The game will be played at Halesowen Town FC with kick off at 1pm.
