Defender hails Fletcher and says Graham's looking good.
Danny Rose has described Steven Fletcher's progress at Sunderland as “unbelievable” - and feels the addition of Danny Graham will be a further boost to the Scot.
Fletcher, who featured for Scotland on Wednesday evening, has bagged 10 goals in his first season with the Black Cats following a close-season move from Wolves.
He has spent much of the season leading the line in front of Stephane Sessegnon, with youngster Connor Wickham and the now-departed Louis Saha stepping in when required.
But Sunderland's strike force has now been augmented by the £5m arrival of Graham, who was Swansea's top scorer last season and will be expected to take some of the goalscoring load off Fletcher.
And defender Rose – recently back on the scene following an injury – believes the frontman's arrival will benefit all parties.
“Fletcher has been unbelievable for us,” he said. “We've relied on him a lot this season and he’s never disappointed us. Ten goals so far is brilliant for his first season.
“Fletch just goes out there and does what he does best, he holds the ball up for us; when he gets a chance he more or less takes it.
“We’ve got Danny Graham in now; I think he got 14 goals last season for Swansea and he’ll be great.
“I’ve only managed to train with him two or three times since he’s been here and I’ve seen glimpses of what he can bring to the team.”
