Number of international call-ups confirmed.

It's shaping up to be a busy time for some of Sunderland's players during the international break.

A host of call-ups have already been confirmed, with Jozy Altidore included in a 23-man United States squad for two World Cup qualifiers.

Jurgen Klinsmann's side face a game in Costa Rica on September 6 before taking on Mexico four days later in Columbus.

Altidore, who scored his first goal for Sunderland in midweek, has been in superb form for his country, netting a hat-trick in his last outing.

Ji Dong-won will link up with South Korea for home friendlies against Haiti (September 6) and Croatia (September 10).

Seb Larsson and Sweden will face the Republic of Ireland in a World Cup qualifier on September 6, with Larsson named in the Sweden party and John O'Shea and Keiren Westwood included in a provisional 29-man squad.

The Swedes will then face Kazakhstan in Astana four days later, with Ireland travelling to the Ernst Happel Stadion in Austria on the same day.

Elsewhere, David Vaughan will join the Wales squad for the qualifying matches against Macedonia in Skopje and Serbia at the Cardiff City Stadium.

And Connor Wickham will link up with England's U21 side for Gareth Southgate's first game in charge against Moldova, which will take place on September 5 at Reading's Madejski Stadium.

The game, which is a European Championship qualifier, will be followed by an away trip to Finland four days later in the same competition.
