Elmohamady on verge of promotion.
Ahmed Elmohamady’s Hull City could all but secure their promotion to the Barclays Premier League with a win over Bristol City tonight (Friday).
The Tigers would stretch their lead over their closest rivals Watford to nine points with victory over the Robins, who are already relegated.
And, if the Hornets fail to beat Blackburn on Saturday, Steve Bruce’s side will have their promotion confirmed with two games remaining.
Also on Friday, Ji Dong-Won’s Augsburg travel to Borussia Monchengladbach in the German Bundesliga knowing a win could take them out of the relegation zone in the German top flight.
The hosts will provide difficult opposition, though, as a win for the 1979 UEFA Cup winners would lift them into the Europa League qualification places.
On Saturday, Adam Reed’s York City will look to secure their League Two status with a win at home to Southend.
Reed has yet to taste defeat in the four games he has played since joining the Minstermen and a win over Phil Brown’s Southend will ensure their survival if Barnet and Aldershot both fail to win.
Meanwhile, Billy Knott and Jordan Pickford will both play their final games for Woking and Alfreton respectively.
Woking travel to Tamworth knowing a win could secure their highest finish in eight years whilst a win for Alfreton would secure the Reds best position in the club’s history.
