Elmohamady looking to boost promotion push.

Ahmed Elmohamady’s Hull City travel to Ipswich Town on Saturday hoping to build a six-point gap on their nearest rivals Watford in the race for automatic promotion from the Championship.

The Tigers will be looking to win consecutive games for the first time in two months after they beat Middlesbrough 1-0 last weekend.

Steve Bruce’s side need to win four of their five remaining games to guarantee promotion to the Barclays Premier League.

Elsewhere, Ji Dong-Won’s Augsburg host Eintracht Frankfurt in the German Bundesliga knowing they have little room for error if they wish to survive in the German top flight.

Augsburg have lost their last two games and defeat on Saturday could leave them eight points from safety.

Meanwhile, Adam Reed’s York City travel to Northampton looking to extend their unbeaten run to three.

Nigel Worthington’s side haven’t lost since Reed arrived at Bootham Crescent and, if they avoid defeat at Sixfields, they could move out of the relegation zone with two games remaining in League Two.

In Non-League, Jordan Pickford’s Alfreton Town hammered Tamworth 3-0 on Thursday to all but secure their Conference Premier status for another season.

The Reds travel to promotion chasing Newport County this weekend in the England U19 international’s penultimate game with the club.

Billy Knott’s Woking host Macclesfield as the Cardinals look to record their highest finish in the football pyramid since 2005.
