Adam Reed scored his first goal for York City as the Minstermen extended their League Two unbeaten record to three after a 1-1 draw with Accrington Stanley.

Reed’s strike, on the stroke of half-time, gave Nigel Worthington’s side the lead before Peter Murphy equalised for Stanley in the 90th minute.

The point moves York level with Torquay in the fight for Football League survival whilst Stanley move two points above the drop zone.

Meanwhile, Ahmed Elmohamady’s Hull City picked up a vital three points in their push for promotion to the Barclays Premier League with a 1-0 victory over Middlesbrough at the KC Stadium.

Robbie Brady scored the game’s only goal on the hour-mark as the Tigers opened up a three-point gap on Watford in third place.

Elsewhere, Ji Dong-Won played 90 minutes for Augsburg as they were defeated 4-2 by UEFA Champions League quarter-finalists Borussia Dortmund in the German Bundesliga.

Augsburg led at half-time after Daniel Baier and Kevin Vogt cancelled out Julian Schieber’s early strike but Dortmund bounced back with three second-half goals; Schrieber grabbing his second before Neven Subotic and Robert Lewandowski secured the points.

In non-league, Billy Knott played 77 minutes for Woking as the Cardinals dented Wrexham’s championship bid in the Conference Premier.

The Cardinals won 2-0 with Jayden Stockley grabbing both goals to send Garry Hill’s side tenth in the table.
