Jordan Laidler won a call-up to the senior squad for the first time against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

The striker, who has been handed squad number 30, follows youngster Mikael Mandron into the senior set-up.

Laidler started a two-year scholarship in summer 2011 and was a regular in Kevin Ball’s youth side.

He made a total of 45 appearances during two seasons at under-18 level, scoring 20 goals.

After turning professional last summer, Laidler has scored four goals in 14 games for the under-21s, often playing in midfield.
