Midfielder expecting tough trip to MK.

Jack Colback is expecting Sunderland to encounter tough resistance when their Capital One Cup campaign resumes tonight.

The Black Cats head south to face an MK Dons side flying high in Npower League One.

Karl Robinson's side sit in the midst of the promotion shake-up and fired four goals away at Bury last weekend.

Sunderland, meanwhile, have started the season unbeaten in five games and Colback is delighted the tests are coming thick and fast.

It's a big pitch there which should suit us. We like to knock it around when we can, use the space and get players in the game

“The season is really picking up pace now and it's good to have a run of games,” he said.

“It starts again tonight and we'll look to do well there before moving on to Wigan.

“I think tonight will be a tough game for us. They are doing well this season and have some experienced players. Lower-league sides are always up for it.”

He added: “It's a big pitch there which should suit us. We like to knock it around when we can, use the space and get players in the game.”

Manager Martin O'Neill is facing selection decisions and could make changes for Sunderland's first ever trip to Stadium:MK.

But Colback says he wants to feature as much as possible and is hoping he's one of those spared should the boss decide to mix things up.

“I want to play as much as I can – it's not like I am feeling tired,” he said. “I want to play in every game and hopefully I'll be picked.”
