Coach delighted with Frenchman’s work ethic.
Louis Saha’s performance for the development squad against Newcastle was an shining example to young players, according to coach Kevin Ball.
Saha was handed a 90-minute run-out against the Magpies at the Sports Direct Arena last night as the north-east rivals played out a 2-2 draw.
The Frenchman produced a superb performance against his former club in front of the watching Martin O’Neill.

And Ball says youngsters seeking an example need look no further than the 34-year-old, who came close to scoring on a number of occasions.
“Louis needed time on the pitch and it’s probably been a few months since he played a full 90 minutes,” he said afterwards.
“What we saw out there was unbelievable endeavour and fantastic quality.
“By his own admission I’m sure Louis will have wished for one or two goals, but it just wouldn’t go in for him.”
