Elmo roars Tigers on.

Sunderland’s Egyptian winger Ahmed Elmohamady turned in a man of the match display to inspire Hull City to victory over Ipswich Town.

The Tigers fell behind to an early goal but summer signing Nick Proschwitz netted two as Steve Bruce’s side fought back to beat Ipswich and climb into the Championship's play-off spots.

Elmohamady played a key role in setting up both of Proschwitz's goals, his first since moving to the KC Stadium in the summer.

It was another luckless afternoon for Ryan Noble and Hartlepool United as Pools slipped to a 1-0 home defeat at the hands of high-flying Crawley.

The striker played for just over an hour at Victoria Park before being replaced by former black cats man Nathan Luscombe.

League One side Pools have now gone games following that home defeat.

Elsewhere, stopper Ben Wilson watched from the bench as Chesterfield won at Exeter, while youngster Billy Knott sat out of Woking’s home defeat to Southport due to injury.
