Defender makes solid start to loan spell.
John Egan made his debut for Bradford City last night as the Bantams secured a home draw with Chesterfield.
The Spireites knocked six goals past Hartlepool in their previous outing but were held goalless at Valley Parade.
Egan, who joined the Yorkshire club on loan on Monday, was handed an immediate debut and completed the full 90 minutes.
He helped his side keep a clean sheet and almost found the net at the other end, heading just over the bar from an early set piece.
The point keeps the Bantams fifth in Npower League Two, four points behind Cheltenham Town in the final automatic promotion spot.
Manager Phil Parkinson was happy with Egan’s debut, telling the club’s official website: "I felt John did very well - it was a good debut for him.
"He looks a good player. He's strong, decent on the ball and he's confident in his own ability. I was certainly pleased with his start."
City travel to bottom club Aldershot this Saturday.
