Review Sunderland's last home win over Saturday's opponents.

Sunderland completed the first half of a 2010-11 league double over Aston Villa with a 1-0 win at the Stadium of Light in October 2010.

The Black Cats snapped a run of five successive league draws with the home win, achieved thanks to a first-half own goal from Richard Dunne.

Steed Malbranque fired a dangerous ball across the area and saw the defender bundle the cross into his own net.

Villa pushed for an equaliser having already hit the post through Stewart Downing, but they couldn't find a way through the home defence.

Sunderland have undergone many changes since – six of the starting XI and all three of the used substitutes are no longer on the club’s books.
