Flashback: Cup win over Canaries

by Stuart Vose

We look back on Sunderland's last win at Carrow Road.

Sunderland, who head to Norwich on Saturday, last tasted victory at Carrow Road in the Carling Cup back in 2009.

Incredibly, City were then a League One club with former boss Paul Lambert just setting out on a journey which yielded two successive promotions.

Sunderland were three goals up at the halfway mark after Andy Reid added a well-taken double following Teemu Tainio's first goal for the club.

Wes Hoolahan pulled a goal back from close range just after the hour, but Owain Tudur Jones' own goal rounded out a 4-1 victory for the Black Cats in front of the Sky cameras.
