Carlos ready for home clash.
After scoring his first goal for the club in last weekend’s win over Fulham, Carlos Cuellar is upbeat ahead of Saturday’s game against West Bromwich Albion.
The defender notched his first goal for Sunderland in the 3-1 victory and admits that the result at Craven Cottage is a great launch pad for the Black Cats’ upcoming games at the Stadium of Light.
Cuellar revealed: “We’re very much looking forward to Saturday’s game. It’s been a long time since we had a home game.”
Steve Clarke’s West Bromwich Albion visit Wearside this weekend on the back of a hard-earned home victory over Chelsea.
“West Brom are flying high at the minute and it will be a tough game,” Cuellar continued.
“They got a great result against Chelsea which will fill them with confidence.
“But we will be confident too after our win over Fulham and it’s important for us to go out and get a result at home.”
