Matt Kilgallon wins a recall for Sunderland against Manchester City at the Stadium of Light (KO 3pm).

Kilgallon replaces John O'Shea, who misses out, with the captain's armband passing to Carlos Cuellar for the first time.

Sunderland are otherwise unchanged from the win at Southampton.
