Argentine forward and son-in-law of Diego Maradona , Aguero was signed from Atletico Madrid for £38 million in July 2011, signing a five-year deal. Aguero scored 23 league goals in his debut season for the club and was named Manchester City Player of the Year; however his most important goal came in the 94th minute of the final game of the season against Queens Park Rangers when his winner earned the club their first league title in 44 years. Aguero has represented his country 41 times scoring 16 times.
Ivory Coast international was signed from Barcelona for £24 million in July 2010 joining his elder brother Kolo at the club, and in doing so becoming the first brothers to play for the club. The powerful midfielder has made over 100 appearances for the club scoring more than 20 goals and was named African footballer of the year in 2011. Toure has amassed over 70 caps for the Ivory Coast scoring just over 10 goals.
Belgian international and captain of both club and country. Kompany joined City from Hamburg in 2008 for £6 million and has gone onto become a mainstay at the heart of the City defence. Included in the Barclays Premier League team of season for two years running in 2011 and 2012 he also won the Barclays Premier League player of the season award in 2012. Kompany has made over a 180 appearances for the club scoring 6 goals.
