Spaniard looking forward to facing Spurs.
Carlos Cuellar says Sunderland will be ready to go again when Spurs visit the Stadium of Light tomorrow.
The Black Cats are fresh from an excellent 1-0 win over Manchester City and have won three out of their last four games.
Meanwhile Saturday’s opponents have taken 13 points from their last six games, but Cuellar says Sunderland can take heart from their victory over the champions.
“I have said before many games, even when we were losing, that we just had to keep going,” the Spaniard said.
“We don't have to fear because we have the quality to play against strong teams.
“Our performance [on Boxing Day] was excellent and we played hard for the full 90 minutes.
“Now we have to rest the legs and be ready for Saturday.”
Meanwhile Cuellar says goalkeeper Simon Mignolet deserves the praise he’s been receiving after some excellent performances this season.
The Belgian drew plaudits again following the City game, making some key saves to seal a third clean sheet in four outings.
“Simon made some good saves but we deserved to win,” Cuellar said.
“It was a quality performance from Simon. He is very important and it is great that we have a keeper like him.”
