Johnson named for qualifying double.
Sunderland winger Adam Johnson has been called up by England manager Roy Hodgson.
The 25-year-old has been named in the squad for a key World Cup 2014 qualifying double-header.
England will face Moldova at the Zimbru Stadium in Chisinau next Friday (September 7) before taking on Ukraine at Wembley on Tuesday 11th September.
The pair of games will kick off England’s qualification campaign for the tournament, which will be held in Brazil.
Johnson joined Sunderland from Manchester City last week and made his debut against Morecambe in midweek.
