Young Black Cats hoping to continue fine run of form.

Sunderland’s under-18 side will look to continue their fine run of form in the Barclays U18 Premier League when they travel to Stoke on Saturday.

The young Black Cats are on a four-game winning run and have only lost once in their last seven matches in all competitions.

A prolific record of 21 goals in their last seven matches has lifted confidence at the Academy of Light and a win over the Potters on Saturday could see the youngsters move into the top four of the Barclays U18 Premier League North Group.

Stoke have lost nine of their 13 league games this season, shipping 25 goals in the process.

Kick-off in Staffordshire is at 12.30pm and a full report will follow on following the conclusion of the game.
