Clash of high-flyers in prospect in the capital.

Sunderland’s development squad travel to Arsenal this evening looking to end the Gunners’ unbeaten start to the Barclays U21 Premier League campaign.

The young Black Cats lie above the North London outfit in the table in third place with 17 points, though the sixth-placed Gunners are just three points behind.

Arsenal have the meanest defence in the division having conceded only five goals in their six league games - however, the young Black Cats haven’t failed to score in a competitive game this campaign, scoring two or more in six of their nine matches.

Mikael Mandron is back in the squad following an injury lay-off, giving coach Kevin Ball an extra option up front.

The game kicks off at 7pm at Boreham Wood FC with free admission for any supporters who are wishing to attend.

Live updates will be available on the Black Cats’ official twitter account @SAFCofficial and a full report and reaction will be available on safc.com following the match.
