U21 coach speaks ahead of game-free weekend.
Kevin Ball is looking to see his under-21 side use the gap in their schedule to their advantage.
Ball’s development squad don’t have a game this weekend after drawing 2-2 at Spurs last time out.
The players have worked really hard physically and technically and I’ve been pleased with them

The lack of a fixture will allow for some downtime with a busy autumn and winter coming up for the second string.
“We’ve utilised the spare week with an in-house game and now we’ve got the international weekend coming up,” Ball said.
“A lot of the senior players are away; we’ve chosen to give our squad a good week’s training.
“We can use the break to our advantage. The players have had a hard eight or nine weeks and a weekend off will allow them to go away and do something different.
“Then they’ll come back refreshed. We’ll probably give them Saturday and Sunday off if we feel they’ve done well enough.
“They have to earn that time off, but they do need it to recover because if we train them relentlessly then they’ll be too tired to play.
