WSL high-flyers in league action against London Bees.
After three successive Continental Cup matches, Sunderland Ladies return to league action this Sunday when they welcome London Bees to the Hetton Centre (Eppleton CW, KO 12 noon).
The Lady Black Cats recorded their fifth win in six games with a 2-0 success over title rivals Doncaster Belles at the Keepmoat Stadium on Thursday evening.
Head coach Claire Robinson was delighted with the way the side bounced back for a cup defeat to WSL 1 side Liverpool in their previous outing, as the Belles were dispatched courtesy of goals from Beth Mead and Rachel Furness.
Sunderland will take heart from a fine win over their fellow title contenders and could overtake the Belles at the top of WSL 2 this weekend, trailing the Yorkshire club on goal difference with both sides boasting 100% league records.
Meanwhile, opponents London have had a mixed start to the season, winning one, drawing one and losing one of their opening three games, scoring six goals whilst also conceding six.
They will face a mean home defence who have conceded only four league goals this season, while the Lady Black Cats have bagged 10 times at the other end.
Tickets for Sunday’s game are available on the gate priced at just £4 for adults, £1 for over 65s and under 18s and £2 for SAFC season card holders, on production of a valid season card. Turnstiles open at 11am.
Ladies season cards will also be available on the day priced at £38 for adults and £12 for concessions.
