Black Cats run riot at Elland Road in '06.
Leeds United 0 Sunderland 3
13th September 2006
Roy Keane won his second consecutive match in charge of Sunderland as the Black Cats ran riot at Elland Road.
Liam Miller, Graham Kavanagh and Stephen Elliott got the goals as a revitalised Sunderland went on to win the Championship under the Irishman’s stewardship.
The visitors took the lead after a flowing move involving Robbie Elliott and Ross Wallace set up Liam Miller, who scored with a low diagonal shot.
Just before the break Graham Kavanagh latched on to Daryl Murphy's flick to thump home a tremendous volley past Leeds goalkeeper Tony Warner.
Early in the second half another Murphy flick released Stephen Elliott, who beat Warner with a superb volley.
