A blend of comedy, emotion and music, including terrace favourites from throughout the Lads’ illustrious history, The Sunderland Story takes fans on a journey from Campbell and Carter to Quinn and Phillips.

“I’ve written shows about Liverpool and Celtic, but Sunderland was always at the back of our minds and now feels like the right moment to relive the journey the Club has been on,” said writer Nicky Allt

“What has been great about the previous plays is seeing the reaction of the audience – you’d have three generations of the same family coming together to celebrate something they all love.”

He continued: “The show chronicles the intertwined fates of the Club and the City over the past 150 years – and the people who were at the heart of that journey.

“It isn’t just a football story; it is a celebration of Sunderland and those who embody its unique passion and spirit.

“The show is perfect for families I can’t wait to share it with the Club’s supporters in May.”
