Club news: Watch the Lads train for free on Monday!

Sunderland AFC’s first team players will train at the Stadium of Light on Monday and the session will be open to supporters to come along and watch.

As the half-term holidays begin, young fans can enjoy a range of fun activities and entertainment, before watching the Sunderland players being put through their paces by David Moyes and his backroom staff.

Activities will begin at 11am, with Foundation of Light hosting street football sessions. There will be an inflatable target shootout, face painting and music and games with the Sun fm roadshow. Wearside’s favourite felines, Samson and Delilah, will also be on hand throughout the day to meet young fans. Stadium concourse facilities will be open, serving hot and cold drinks and a range of food items.

Entry is free to all, however in the interest of safety, supporters aged 12 or under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian over the age of 18. Car parking is available at the stadium on a first-come, first-served basis.

The open training session will take place on Monday 20 February at the Stadium of Light. Entertainment will commence from 11am, stadium doors will open at 12noon and the training session will commence at approximately 1pm. Entry to the stadium is via exit seven, which is located in the west stand area, adjacent to the club store. Stewards will be on duty to direct supporters on arrival.

The stadium store will be open from 9am, with 2016-17 home shirts on sale priced at just £18.79. Fans can also enjoy an additional 20% off ALL training wear both in-store and online for one day only.
