Sunderland’s all-time record appearance-maker, Jim Montgomery is celebrating his 73rd birthday today.

Monty made 623 appearances for the Black Cats and served the club for 17 years in total.

Famously part of Bob Stokoe's FA Cup winning side in 1973, Monty is now a club ambassador and continues to represent the club with pride.
