Christmas: Panto fun at the Stadium of Light

Witches and wizards will be bringing pantomime fun to the Stadium of Light this Christmas.

1879 Events Management, part of the leisure brand SoL, is set to unleash the magical world of sorcery in a family show which will run on two days in the lead-up to Christmas.

The Magical Witches & Wizards Pantomime at the SOL will take to the stage on two Sundays -  November 27 and December 18 - aimed at all of the family.

Audiences can look forward to a show which is packed with songs, dance, fun and laughter which will appeal to all ages.

Act one will be packed with magic tricks, clever illusions and sorcery and then the high jinks will continue into act two, culminating in everyone being invited to the ultimate Christmas disco with Sunderland AFC’s mascots, Samson and Delilah.

Rachel Divers, Head of Commercial Sales at Sunderland AFC, is looking forward to welcoming audiences to join an afternoon of fun and entertainment.

“Everyone loves a good pantomime at Christmas, and ours will bring all kinds of magic, illusion, sorcery and fun to Sunderland in an afternoon of fun and entertainment which will appeal to the whole family,” she said.

“Our audiences will get the chance to really get involved and then join Samson and Delilah on the dance floor to end the afternoon in style with our disco.

“We can’t wait to get into the festive spirit and transport everyone away into this magical world for a fun afternoon which they’ll remember for a long time to come.”

The Magical Witches & Wizards Pantomime at the SOL will take to the stage on Sunday November 27, 1.30pm – 3.30pm and Sunday December 18, 11am – 1pm.

Tickets cost £7.50 per person and include free parking. Lunch is available at extra cost.
