Special guest: Bradley Lowery set to line-up for SAFC

Brave youngster Bradley Lowery will lead the Sunderland team out at the Stadium of Light tomorrow night, as the Black Cats take on Chelsea.

As well as taking up mascot duties, Bradley told his parents that he really wanted to score a goal for Sunderland and Wednesday night’s opponents Chelsea have very kindly offered to help SAFC make Bradley’s wish come true.

During the pre-match warm up, blues ‘keeper Asmir Begovic will go in goal and Bradley will be able to take a shot at him.

Fans are urged to arrive at the stadium as early as possible to show their support for Bradley on his special night. The pre-match warm ups begin around 7.10pm and Bradley is set to show off his skills in front of goal just after that time.

Speaking at his pre-match press conference, Sunderland manager David Moyes paid tribute to Bradley.

“Bradley came to the training ground yesterday and we had a great time with him.

“He was running around the gym, up and down the stairs and with a football, but he really enjoyed having the boxing clubs on!”

He added: “He’s a strong little boy let me tell you, so we’re trying to give him everything we possibly can to make sure he has a nice Christmas.”
