Inside tonight's Red & White

by Kate Smith

Hear from new sporting director in latest match programme.

In tonight’s edition of the matchday programme fans can read the first interview with Sunderland’s new sporting director Lee Congerton.

Now a key figure at SAFC, Lee tells Red & White about his north east links, his new staff and his plans for the summer – you can also hear from the former Sunderland player who played an influential role in Congerton’s early career!

Finance director Angela Lowes uses the View from the Boardroom column to talk about the club’s annual accounts, while head coach Gus Poyet explains what he meant when comparing Sunderland’s game with West Ham as if it was against Real Madrid or Barcelona.

Red & White also carries interviews with Adam Johnson and West Ham’s former Black Cats skipper George McCartney.

In the historical spotlight the visitors’ Frank Lampard Senior recalls games against Sunderland while former Black Cats’ defender Gordon Chisholm remembers playing alongside current West Ham boss Sam Allardyce at Roker Park.

Monty’s column reveals his post-match Anfield conversation with Liverpool legends Kenny Dalglish, Phil Thompson and Ian Rush.

With detailed coverage of the under-21s, under-18s, Ladies and all club news, Red & White continues to bring you a packed issue every time and there’s a great double sided poster of John O’Shea and Ki’s goal at Liverpool.

Copies can be purchased from sellers in and around the ground for just £3 at official club stores or by calling 0871 9111 228.

Don’t forget the iPad edition of the programme – the &’ in Red & White – is available right now for free.
