New Legion magazine out now

by Sunderland AFC

Latest issue of club magazine now available.

The new Legion of Light should be with season card holders in the next couple of days.

Vito Mannone is the main interview and there is extensive coverage of the Capital One Cup final.

You’ll also find a feature on Sunderland players who have been musicians including the England international who played on the same bill as The Beatles, the Irish international who jammed with Radiohead, the 80s striker who now fronts a rock band in Manchester and the current under-21 player who is a talented guitarist.

There’s an insight into Gus Poyet’s meeting with the Sunderland Referees’ Society, an examination of the future of replays, coverage of SAFC Ladies and an interview with former Sunderland Ladies and Team GB player Steph Houghton.

Legion looks ahead to SAFC involvement in the World Cup and features SAFC Head of International Football Development Graham Robinson’s latest trip to Africa plus there are some great pictures of 1973 hero Ritchie Pitt’s recent trek to Kilimanjaro.

Legion of Light is also available to non season ticket holders. It costs £2.95 from club stores and can also be ordered on 0871 9111 228.  Subscriptions are available from £10.50 anywhere in the world.
