Black Cats start with away trip.

Sunderland will kick off the new Barclays Premier League season with a trip to the Midlands to take on West Bromwich Albion on Saturday 16th August, following confirmation of the fixture schedule for the 2014-15 campaign this morning.

The Black Cats will then welcome Manchester United to the Stadium of Light seven days later in the opening home game of the 2014-15 season on Saturday 23rd August.

The hotly anticipated Tyne-Wear derby is provisionally scheduled for Saturday 20th December at St James’ Park, with the reverse fixture at the Stadium of Light set to take place on Saturday 4th April.

Sunderland will welcome Hull City to the Stadium of Light for the traditional Boxing Day clash, followed by back to back away games at Aston Villa on Sunday 28th December and current champions Manchester City on New Years’ Day.

The season concludes on Sunday 24th May 2015, when Sunderland face a trip to London to take on Chelsea.

Supporters are reminded that all fixtures remain provisional at this stage and will be subject to change. The initial round of games selected for live broadcast will be announced in the coming weeks and further televised fixtures will be confirmed throughout the season.

Sunderland fans can guarantee their place at all 19 home Barclays Premier League games for the new campaign by purchasing a season card. Prices start from £400 for adults, with special concessions for under 16s and over 65s, along with fantastic family discounts representing huge savings on buying match tickets.

An adult and junior (under 16) season card package in the stadium’s popular Family Zone is just £425.
