Special competition launched in conjunction with The Beach House.

In celebration of the opening of The Beach House, a new contemporary café and bistro located on Sunderland’s seafront at Roker, Sunderland AFC’s 1879 Events Management is launching a special competition that’s sure to thrill the taste buds.

The award-winning events management company is kicking off a competition that will test the region’s creativity and imagination, with youngsters from across the north east being challenged to create their very own ice cream sundae, with the winning dish to be included on The Beach House menu.

To enter the competition, participants must draw a picture of how they imagine their ice cream sundae to look. They must also list the ingredients required to make it and like all good sundaes, come up with a name that’s befitting of their dish.

The ice cream sundae judged to be the most unique and creative will be made available to the public at the opening of The Beach House on Saturday 19th July. The winner will be the first to sample their winning dish with their family (max 4 people) at the opening, where they will also receive a free lunch.

To top off this fantastic competition, the lucky winner will also win the chance of a lifetime to lead out the Black Cats at the Stadium of Light.

Entries for the competition should be submitted to liam.hodgson@safc.com or by post to Ice Cream Sundae Competition, Sunderland AFC, Stadium of Light, Sunderland, SR5 1SU, by no later than Tuesday 15 July.
