Red and white army at Wembley

Guide to the cup final for SAFC fans.

Sunderland fans will be in the east end of Wembley Stadium when they face Manchester City in the Capital One Cup final on Sunday.

See the plan of the stadium here.

Over 30,000 of the red and white army will make the trip for Sunderland’s first-ever game at the new national stadium since it was opened in 2007.

Ahead of the game there will be designated pubs for Black Cats fans around the Wembley Stadium area.

Supporters are also advised that there is a Controlled Drinking Zone in place around the venue and that the pubs will stop serving one hour before kick-off, in order to allow sufficient time for all supporters to get to their seats ahead of the game.

Pubs within the vicinity of the ground will not be showing the match on TV.

Inside the ground Sunderland fans’ group Ha’way the Flags will unveil a giant crowd surfer flag ahead of kick off.

Sunderland’s chosen song before the game gets underway is Elvis Presley’s ‘I Can’t Help Falling In Love With You’.

The song, affectionately known as ‘Wise Men Say’ by the majority of fans will be played across the Wembley PA system as part of the pre-game build-up.

The club has produced a lyric sheet for fans to download ahead of the game, however all SAFC fans are more than familiar with the Stadium of Light favourite as it’s belted around the ground ahead of each home game.

The game is Sunderland’s first cup final in 22 years; fans can share their experience of the day in SAFC’s #DareToDream gallery  - make sure you get involved.
