Treat Dad to Father's Day lunch.
Father’s Day only comes once a year, so show your Dad how much you care with a sumptuous Father’s Day feast at either the Stadium of Light or National Glass Centre Brasserie.
1879 Events Management, which runs catering and hospitality at the National Glass Centre, Sunderland and Stadium of Light, will be serving up a special Father’s Day three course lunch on Sunday June 15.
Each venue will have its own menu, specially prepared by 1879’s award-winning chefs.
The Stadium of Light menu, which will be served in the Riverview Brasserie, offers the choice of four starters, five main courses and four desserts, including deep fried filo king prawns with a sweet chilli sauce and micro leaves, slow cooked hock of lamb set on a bed of creamy mashed potato with a mint and redcurrant jelly sauce and classic chocolate tart.
The equally traditional National Glass Centre menu, available in the Brasserie, includes three options for each course; all made using the freshest, locally sourced ingredients. These range from duck and port terrine, and braised topside of beef to homemade apple crumble.
It also includes a vegetarian dish of the day – Mediterranean vegetable bake with a herb crumb - and a fish dish of the day – beer battered fish served with gastro chips, garden peas and tartar sauce.
Both menus are priced at £17.95 for three courses, with the option to enjoy just one or two courses at the National Glass Centre Brasserie for £9.95 and £13.95 respectively and reduced rates for children at both sites.
Season card holders can also take 10% discount on bookings made at the Stadium of Light.
