Club to welcome county champions

Special guests to attend Sunday's game.

The club is set to welcome Durham County Cricket Club to the Stadium of Light when the Black Cats take on Liverpool.

The 2013 county champions will be special guests of the club at Sunday afternoon's Barclays Premier League game.

Durham sealed their third championship title in just six years last week, captained by lifelong Sunderland fan Paul Collingwood. 

Collingwood and his team-mates will be introduced to the Stadium of Light crowd at half time, when they will parade the County Championship trophy.

Commercial director Gary Hutchinson said: “We are delighted to be able to welcome Durham CCC to Sunday’s game. 

"They are excellent sporting ambassadors for the north east region and we are looking forward to being able to help them celebrate their fantastic achievement.”

Tickets for Sunday’s game are still available, starting from £27 for adults, £23 for over-65's, £21 for under-22's and £12 for under-16's.

Fans are also encouraged to take advantage of the new ‘print at home’ facility, which allows them to book their seats online and print their match ticket via their home computer.

All tickets are sold subject to ground regulations.
