Quinn on becoming a Freeman, his days at Sunderland and Poyet's progress.
The club's official free-to-air video service, SAFSee, caught up with Niall Quinn as one of Sunderland's favourite sons became an honourary Freeman of the city.
A large audience gathered at the Civic Centre's Council Chamber to honour Quinn, who served the club as a player, manager, chairman and director.
The Irishman spoke of being "humbled" at receiving such an award and also looked back on his time at the club as well as backing "impressive" new head coach Gus Poyet.
