Two new books out in time for Christmas.
Two new Sunderland books have hit the streets – and we’re giving you the chance to win them both.
The 2013 annual is now available and is an ideal Christmas present for young Black Cats fans.
It includes profiles on all players in the first team, under-21 and under-18 squads. As well as puzzles, a board game, a 2013 quiz and Black Cats mascot Delilah showing you how to make a cake!
There’s also a feature on Roker Park and a look at the former grounds of other teams in the Barclays Premier League.
The SAFC annual will explain why the red and whites are called ‘The Black Cats’ and it wonders what might happen if Sunderland merged with Newcastle to form a new team – just as Sunderland’s pre-season opponents in Denmark FC Midtjylland did when they joined forces with their local rivals 15 years ago!
There’s also a new addition for supporters’ bookshelves in the form of the Official SAFC Yearbook.
The Yearbook is aimed at the adult supporter. There’s plenty to keep you entertained with features on 10 great Christmas games, 10 great goals, leading scorers of the last decade and a look at the ton-up club – the dozen players who have scored 100 goals or more for the Lads.
For those who want a walk down memory lane the 40th, 50th and 100th anniversaries of the 1973 FA Cup win, the first ever promotion, and the club’s greatest ever season are all included along with a look at Sunderland’s foray into major European competition 40 years ago this season.
There’s also a ‘What’s It Worth’ focus on SAFC memorabilia and just for fun a quiz of 2013 and five team photographs to see if you can spot the season they are from.
Both books are available to buy now - the annual is priced at £8 and the yearbook is priced at £10 - visit www.safcstore.com to get your copy.
We’ve got a copy of each book to give away – simply answer the following question:
In which year did Sunderland move to the Stadium of Light?
