Rihanna at the SoL on Thursday

Music sensation Rihanna is set to wow concert goers this month when she performs her ‘Diamonds World Tour’ at the Stadium of Light later this week. 

The multi-million record selling artist heads to Wearside on Thursday 20 June where she is set to perform to the biggest ever concert crowd at the home of Sunderland AFC.

The highly anticipated songstress’ concert will also see performances of French house superstar DJ David Guetta and raising song duo GTA and concert goers are encouraged to arrive early as tens of thousands of fans flock to the Stadium of Light for the show.

The dynamic GTA, who have collaborated with a number of artists, will kick-off the evening when they take to the stage, with David Guetta also adding to the party atmosphere, performing some of his number one hits.

Courtyards at the Stadium of Light open from 2pm and concert goers can kick-off the shows with a selection of beverages including beers, wines, prosecco and alcopops in grand marquees. Catering facilities will offer a range of food from traditional burgers, to Mexican cuisine and other foods from across the world.

Rihanna will then set the stadium alight when she sparkles, performing her number one hits and more, in front of one of the biggest ever crowds the Stadium of Light has ever seen.

Concert-goers are also reminded that the roads surrounding the Stadium of Light will be closed on the day of the concert and there will be no parking available.
